It's not really stupid, though. I don't think anyone is arguing that BC is a bad actor. So objectively it could be stated that he's a good actor. So if you don't think he's a good actor, it is quite plausible you don't know what good acting is.

Not really? Acting is subjective.

AYRT

It is, but there is certainly a bright line between "good" and "bad." You can get into nuanced argument about whose acting is better, but it would be absurd to say BC is a bad actor.

Maybe he's not bad overall, but he was certainly bad in ST:ID.

Then again, everyone was bad in that movie.

It's not absurd. He does things that make me want to claw my eyes out as an actor. He's not really that good, just conveniently popular.

(I feel the same way about Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the same bland "woman who don't need no man" character in literally e v e r y movie.)

Oh look, someone who doesn't understand typecasting. Regular people not understanding this is one thing, but that an actor doesn't get is says a lot about your credibility.

(Anonymous) 2015-06-25 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yup. I, for example, think method acting is for people who can't actually act.

Aw, you don't know what good for bad.
