I understand why the ship exists. What I don't get is why it's so popular. Deadpool definitely has a thing for Spidey, but as you yourself said, it's entirely one-sided. I find it really sad actually, that so many people would ship DP with someone who seems to actively dislike him. It's not like it's a rivalslash ship either, because instead of two guys who hate each other you've one guy crushing on another guy who finds him irritating... yeah, sad. That's why I could never ship it, even if by some miracle I happened to come across a Spideypool fic that wasn't terribly written.

tl;dr: I have Strong Opinions about Deadpool.
