57. It's like a good friend of mine said: You can have a good show with a great Elphy, but you absolutely can't have a good show without an amazing Glinda. She grows a lot more than Elphaba does, and her flaws are what makes that process so interesting and easy to get invested in. While I think it would have been great if Glinda finally stood up for her friend, the thing that makes the ending so poignant is that Elphaba didn't want that, and Glinda listened to her, but hated every step of it. She maybe falls short of the perfect heroine, but that made her very human to me.
