The obvious answer would be Thorki because Loki is the fandoms darling. I love the dynamics in canon, but have experienced little of the fandom because of this.

(I just mentioned this the other day...I'm starting to feel like a broken record. It works, though!)

Well hi there, nice commiserating with you the other day :D I'll be happy to broken record up about this old flame in the here too, though I reserved my reply for the current, also frustrating OTP.

LOL, it is always nice to meet a fellow Thor fan! Even if this is not my current OTP, it is one I feel strongly about and Thor's (lack of) presence in fandom is a recurring disappointment so I can't (or won't) let it go.

I have others, I know, but this is the first thing that came to mind.

I definitely came into the ship for Loki (Hiddleston's good, man...) but I grew to prefer Thor and weirdly now that I'm a bit out of it I find I don't even like Loki that much anymore, though that would probably change if I see him in another movie. And I think this one stands out because not only is Thorki fandom kind of a crappy place but the tendency to not just sideline but actually demonize Thor is pretty prevalent there :\

Aww, well at least I found someone else who prefers Thor. It's incredibly rare to find people who switch favorites too, especially when the character in question is Loki.

See, Thor being ignored is bad enough, but demonizing him is downright unforgivable for me. If you do that IDGAF, I'm not reading your fic, not following you on tumblr, avoiding all discussion of the film with you...

He is not that character. It makes me sad.

I have commiserated about Thor/Loki and it's lack of Thor centric fic before with you but it's always something I agree with you on, I love the both of them so it's just more saddening for me that they don't get equal love in fandom.

I don't ship Thor with anyone, and Thorki is def not my thing, but I am just sad because there's so little Thor in fanfic to begin with. And half the time when he shows up in a fic, it's so he can do some villainous villainy stuff to Loki the woob. Tiresome.

That's fair! I would happily read Thor gen fic too, but finding such a thing... I imagine is next to impossible. (I haven't looked in quite a while so maybe there is a good deal more since AOU... I'm willing to guess not, though.).

Besides Steve, Thor is my favorite Avenger so it is doubly disappointing to me that he doesn't get more attention. I'd love to read fic exploring his friendships with Sif and the Warriors Three, and maybe Heimdall...

I like Loki, I just can't feel terribly sorry for him. Tom is a good actor, but Loki made his mistakes and he should pay for them imo.

AYRT, oh I definitely wasn't putting down Thorki, sorry if it sounded that way, it just isn't what I'm looking for in fic.

I did like Loki when I first saw the first film, Hiddlestone did a good job with the character, but the massive explosion of fannish apologist love for poor mistreated Loki just kind of killed it for me. And yeah, I gave up looking for the Thor genfic. It might be out there, but it's virtually buried beneath the mountains of Loki-fic.

+1 to wanting fic exploring friendships with Sif and the Warriors Three, and maybe Heimdall... We can always hope! Maybe someday.

No no, I didn't think you were. Plus, you're allowed to dislike the pairing!

I find I'm okay as long as I don't go into fandom. I can enjoy Loki in the films themselves, but if I try to start browsing through the Thor tags I start getting irrationally annoyed by his face. Oops.
