They are not like...mean to Steve, they just tend to always focus on the other partner and/or put Steve in the carer role. Let Steve be the vulnerable one damn it!

What I find weird is that, in pre-war fics, people are perfectly willing to focus on Steve's issues and woobieness (big part of why I read mostly pre-war these days), especially the bad health aspect which gets blown way out of proportion half the times. I thought the point was that getting the super soldier body didn't actually make him invulnerable to being hurt.

De-serum fics make me anxious though XD Like, I have a fear of my illness relapsing and those stories remind me of that somehow. I guess most of them don't make it permanent so there's that.
