Yeah, I mean, I'm definitely here for both of them, and I'm not sure I'd be quite as "Steve is the fave!!!" if there weren't such an... imbalance in the fandom. I think you're right. As I was saying upthread, people seem to woobify Steve just fine in pre-war fics when he was small and sickly, but once he becomes a super soldier it seems his problems become much more subtle and easily glossed over. Which I hate, even though I love pre-war stories :(

You know you've got a point he does get woobified more when he's his small self which is... Odd really. As you've said its like people see his serum body and go with the idea that because it's harder for him to get sick all of his problems are gone? Which is BS, sure Steve likes to pretend he's fine but he's really not. :(

I know!!! For fuck's sake if Steve screws up in a story about Bucky's recovery (and I expect him to), I want to see him beating himself up over it, not other characters getting on his case.
