I don't agree with that. If it's wrong to do it, it's wrong to do it, absent some extremely compelling reason. And I don't see one here.

To put that in simpler terms: I agree with you that we shouldn't cite women in this thread. Why should we cite men?

It's not that we should do it to men, but if we have to have this thread there is no reason not to. It has a different context when we're talking about guys losing the value of their physical appearances.

I would think it's nearly equal considering most celebs' jobs if they're actors or entertainers depend far more on their physical appearances than the average non-celeb

If Chris Evans gained 200 pounds would he still have a job?

But why do we have to have this thread at all?

I mean, if we're saying that there's something bad about judging people in this way. If that's not what we're saying, it makes sense to have this thread, but then who cares if people say it against women.
