Starsky and Hutch were both amazing friends to each other, but yeah Starsky ability to cheerfully absorb all of Hutch's crap without coming off as either martyred or dismissive is an extra layer of extraordinary. (I have no doubt that Hutch is just as supportive to Starsky, mind, but Starsky almost never does the bitchy stuff that Hutch does on a regular basis.)
