I'm a huge Buffy fan and I find BtVS to be ridiculously boring for the most part until near the end of season 2. THAT's when it gets really interesting for me. I can't stand the pacing of season 1 at all either.

Of course, it's possible that you might not like it regardless, but I guarantee the plotlines and pacing shifts dramatically around the end of season 2.

Was just about to say this. When I'm marathoning, I'm not excited about that part and I stop before 7. There are a few good episodes on their own, but it feels slow.

There's a lot of dead episode time that isn't really driven by any kind of plot. I feel like Joss got better with the formula of constant build up towards the big evil thing of the season with time.

a pacing of the show is too slow to watch it wile pacing, totally makes sense.
