Re: Sex/legality of marriage...is this true?
(Anonymous) 2015-06-30 04:52 am (UTC)(link)I remember seeing something about that! I also remember something about a couple wanting to adopt a kid and being denied because they were asexual.
Because, of course, when prospective parents are being interviewed, they *must* be interrogated about their sex life!
I just...where do these people even come up with this shit?
Re: Sex/legality of marriage...is this true?
(Anonymous) 2015-06-30 07:12 am (UTC)(link)I'm not saying it's that, but it could be something similar.
Re: Sex/legality of marriage...is this true?
(Anonymous) 2015-06-30 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)If it actually happened at all (as opposed to something someone just 100% made up) I could see it being something like that. It's just the leap from "oh, we were denied" (for whatever reason) to convincing themselves it's because of their sexuality, or telling other people it is...the idea of that subject even coming up in an adoption interview is just so far outside the realm of believable. It seems obvious they'd be trying pretty hard to find a reason to feel offended/oppressed, and that's just ridiculous.
