I was going to say LotR as well. Now I'll just say I agree with you. I mostly like the music in The Hobbit as well, but I like The Song of the Lonely Mountain a lot more than I See Fire.

Star Wars yes, though I favour the music for the original three a bit more than the prequels.

I would also say I like Hans Zimmer's work too, particularly Gladiator and PotC (though I know those two are very similar - recognizably so, as I walked out of CotBP thinking to myself "That's gotta be the same composer as Gladiator.

On games? Baldur's Gate and Dragon Age.
