The main show is 3D, but apparently there will be 2D internet shorts or something.

What's happening is they're making a 3D version for younger kids, and, if that takes off, bringing the anime over for older teens. Because the place they're showing it? Is more interested in the big bucks earned from a younger audience that will buy toys.

The 2D art I've seen for this show looks very appealing. A shame I can't stand 3D.

I know, right? I'd just about got used to the 2D -> 3D thing, admitted to myself that the 3D doesn't look terrible though I'd much prefer the 2D... and then that. Why does he have to be a dumb american teen jock stereotype now? Whyyyyyyy.

The 3D one looks generic, I know, but I wanted to punch his 2D face. It's just so smug-looking in a bad way. Well, at least judging from the trailer, the 3D is really nice for a serial cartoon, OP.

The 3D is really high quality for a TV show, I give it that. And the anime version seems smug as hell, but it seemed like he would get some major karma in the form of perpetual bad luck, as well as an opportunity to loosen up and lose the stiff upper lip in his hero form, which would result in (hopefully) some fun character growth. The 3D version seems like a nicer PERSON, but more boring as a character. (I also feel like the more casual look clashes with the I'M SO COOL I'M SO GREAT personality they seem to be pushing for, but that's me being nitpicky.)

What I don't get is that it's not even out and people have been invested in shipping and headcanons for those characters since the anime was announced. How can you have feels for it when it's just generic romance tropes with these character's names? And that male character doesn't even look cute.

Some Russian - posting girl named Ekaterina (sorry, can't spell her name in Cyrillic ) already has a Photoshop speed paint up, too. I'm guessing the view count for these videos is going to go up in spite of any grumbling that happens in Fandom Secrets.
You can't police people for supposed thought crimes just because you personally don't like or know about this new fandom.

I must be the odd-one-out because the 2D art style does nothing for me. It looks sloppy and I would have much preferred if they had chosen another studio for it (like Kyoto Animation or A1-Pictures). I really like the 3D but I'm giving both a chance.
