The majority of fandom consists of people who find men attractive. These people are typically women. Women want to see themselves represented, thus they clamor for stories driven by other women. People who are attracted to men often like to see and read about men fucking because that's hot. So, women want positive representation and people in fandom want to also see men fuck. Which is why you can see both people calling for female representation and people posting fanmedia about hot dudes fucking.

Yet, it's the female fans who are somehow hurting themselves by both asking to see women represented and wanting to see hot guys? Why should the impetus be on us? We should eschew what we are presented because somehow we aren't allowed to ask for representation all the while enjoying our sexuality?
No, fuck that.
