Sorry that was unclear. I'm not saying that gay marriage is affecting men not wanting to marry women, I'm just pissed off that no-one is tackling the issue of straight men not marrying.

Why would anyone of either/any sex or gender or sexuality want to marry someone who didn't want to get married? I mean, I assume you're a troll, but the divorce rate is high enough as is, front-loading with people who see marriage as a trap rather than a joyous blessing is hardly going to help.

........how is this an issue? If you want to get married, get married. If you want to be a lifelong bachelor, go play or abstain or whatever. Live and let live.

It doesn't affect your life unless you fall for someone who just isn't that into you. And even then, you can't force someone to marry you without a buttload of resentment that you probably deserve because you tried to pull an ultimatum on someone while blaming them for their commitment issues instead of, I don't know, considering the possibility that maybe, just maybe the problem is that you're mismatched.

For the record, I'm a woman, and I have no interest in marriage.

Who really gives a shit? If your man won't marry you, get one who will if that's what you truly want.

Besides, this isn't something that's confined to straight men alone. Plenty of people, men, women, gays or straits, have commitment issues. It's not exactly newsworthy by now.
