The lack of Fine/Ford makes me sad. The potential for banter and angry hate sex! Then again I was also a bit sad that they barely interacted in the movie itself. I know the film wasn't about them and I'm glad that it always focused on Susan, but it would have been nice to have a bit more banter and bitching from Fine and Ford in the background.

I feel you, it's great as it was, but there was potential there. And "he was my friend too"? Eh, I don't know what to make of that line coming from Ford!

But I wouldn't trade the canon we got for one that was still supposed to be mainly Susan's story but had their banter badly shoehorned in. It could have been done well, but they could have easily been too much of scene-stealers.
