Telling one of my friends that I've had a crush on them for ages (when I mean ages, I mean about a decade). Hurdles? The fact that I am almost completely certain they have no such feelings for me and the worry about how it might affect our friendship. It would be nice to just get it out in the open, have them reject me and be done with it. But sometimes it's just easier not to, when you already know the conclusion.
