It's not like he grew up with him. He met him briefly as a kid, if I recall correctly.

But otherwise I still totally get you. The age difference pairings I just cannot ship are those where the couple first met and got to know each other well when one was still a legal child.

Otherwise, ship away! 25-year-olds (fictionally) paired with 65-year-olds all fine by me.

Didn't they only meet briefly when J was a child? (Maybe I'm forgetting something...did K check up on J over the years? If he did J never knew about it, right? I mean, I guess I could see how that sort of thing could throw you off, but did that even happen?)

As long as the presence isn't a constant one it isn't a deal-breaker for me. I shipped them from the beginning and was always disappointed on rewatch that there was almost no fic.

I don't go looking for pairings with age differences, but when they happen I love it. (Thanks, Kingsman.)

I clearly need to watch these movies again because I do not remember(K presumably?) meeting J as a kid.

I've got a thing for age-gap ships too though a pair meeting when one is a child wont typically bug me, if the child grows up with the adult in their lives though that can skeeve me out a bit(and sometimes I still end up shipping it and that lends to a whole buttload of confusing feelings).

It was in the third one, I think. (The third movie was surprisingly good.)

Aha, that's one I never got around to seeing. I really should, I've had many people tell me that it's a decent watch.
