I just saw that Olympus Has Fallen has gotten a sequel (London Has Fallen). I can't fathom why. It got pretty bad reviews and a pretty meh box office. But...somehow it made enough to get a sequel.

Now You See Me. Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie, but I didn't expect it to get that popular? Neither did the writers, since there is a sequel hook but they didn't think to use it (Dylan's father's body was never found, but I think the sequel is focusing on Tressler's son seeking revenge).

Fantastic visuals. Great music. I loved the cast. Decent plot. It wasn't the most amazing movie, I've seen but I enjoyed it.

Doesn't mean that's why the OP didn't like the films. I'm not a fan of those type of horror/sci - fi films and I'd probably avoid them regardless of the gender of the lead.
