I was never a part of the fandom that wrote fanfic. I found it creepy that people were writing fanfic about people who were EXTREMELY likely to read it, as both very minor celebrities and internet people.

I was on a stream with Obscurus Lupa and Filmbrain the other day and they were talking about how amused they were by the fanfic side of the fandom. They totally read some of the fic about themselves.

Well that's cool! I can get on board with that. I think I just am assigning my personal feelings to it...If I was reading fanfic about myself getting raped and tortured and shit like that I would be really disturbed. Some of the fanfics were fine but some were screwed up.

They probably didn't like that aspect, but for the most part they just found fic about themselves amusing and weird.
