I don't see what the big problem is in learning to scroll slower or learning to read selectively. Both are valid lifeskills, the latter especially so for many white collar jobs.

I don't see what the big problem is about being courteous and just waiting a little bit to post your thread.

There's no problem with trying to be courteous, but when your enthusiasm takes over, or you step into a grey area with spoilers people should not be able to use the rules to be a dick to you. In the end being spoiled is not the trauma people pretend it is, while being bullied or verbally abused is.

receipts of people being bullied and verbally abused

Read on, friend. Someone comparing them to rapists, Someone saying we should be allowed to tell them to kill themselves, Someone saying that they tell people who spoil things to "go and eat shit"

I don't see what is wrong with being courteous either, it would make a change from trying to bully other people into having to change just for you when you can very easily change your behavior for you too. The courtesy argument is bullshit, it is just a way of disguising your demands for everyone else to bow to you without you making yourself seem selfish for having to alter your behavior for your dislike of reading something you didn't intend to.

DA

You forget people were polled on this and the majority wanted the rule in place. The ones demanding the rule be discarded are the sore losers who think yelling loudest means they have the most say and are refusing to acknowledge what the majority decided

So no, you don't get to flip that argument around

You do realize it is possible for both sides to be courteous? I said I don't give a shit about about spoilers, but it doesn't take any effort for me to wait a bit before posting a thread to talk about the latest episode of whatever I'm watching.

I don't agree with the bullying. Nor do I agree with the dogpiling if people who accidently posted spoilers in their enthusiasm.

Also, I think you're forgetting the hissyfits being thrown whenever someone gets butthurt about the rule and proceeds to spam gc/secret post with spoilers. There's been shit flung on both sides.
