The majority of people here wanted warnings

The ones who disagree are the crying babies who can't accept that more people than not disagreed with them

You can't equate the two groups

Hell I voted for the spoiler rule. I thought it was a good idea to stop people being dicks on purpose. It didn't work

I deeply regret this choice and would like to go back to the option of people taking their own responsibility for being spoilered.

If people like lawyer anon didn't try to abuse it all the time it would be a good idea. IMO that's one anon that's incredibly buttmad about the spoiler rule and trying to ruin it for everyone

The solution here shouldn't be to make everyone change their minds, it should be for buttmad anon to stop being a dick and for us to call them out on it when they try it like with spiderwoman yesterday and mib3 today

But there's always going to be people like lawyer anon. and there's always going to be people posting spoilers on purpose to be dicks.

The trick is to give neither of there people power.

how do you propose we not give the dickish spoiler posters power by letting them spoil people for anything whenever they want? that doesn't even the ground, that gives them all the power

you make no sense

By encouraging people to take responsibility for themselves. expect spoilers, and don't give these dick bags the attention they crave.

i dont care about spoilers and i see how that works for me, but i can knowledge it doesn't work for the people who do care

not give the dickbags attention and get rid of the rule don't have to happen together. you can do the former without the latter

I hate this kind of argument because it actually lets dicks off the hook. Dicks don't have to take responsibility for themselves, but the people they're dicks to do, and in their case, taking responsibility for themselves means...just letting the dicks be dicks to them.

It's basically a way to argue that people should be able to treat others like shit without any consequences, and the people with the REAL problem are the people who don't like being treated like shit and dare to say something about it.
