I would be very alarmed and confused if the show made Frank Castle into an overtly caring and nice person. it would be pretty funny though, admittedly

Ok I retract my last statement.

(I'd only seen that he was cast, not who he was playing. But uh yeah, super-nice and cuddly Punisher, I think not somehow lol).
