You're not wrong.

Seth rogan's 'comedy' is the worst thing to happen to women since bill cosby.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
Yay lets make light of rape! It's so funny!

Go fuck yourself.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
I'm making light of nothing. This brand of comedy is a part of rape culture and just as harmful as people like cosby being allowed to get away with their crimes. It's all rape culture, and it all needs to die.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, a Seth Rogen comedy is just as abad as a serial rapist.

Go. Fuck. Yourself.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, what a compelling argument. *slow clap*

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
You are aware that Cosby has *actually* been accused of rape, right? Unlike Rogan, who you just don't like?

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Not every joke that mentions rape is making light of rape. You actually have to resist the knee jerk reaction and really look at the joke to analyze who's being made fun of here. Is it rape victims? No. It's Seth Rogen and a type of comedy that's part of the rape culture. The joke isn't saying Cosby's sexual predation is trivial as comedy, it's saying that rape culture comedy AND rape are both bad things.

Or, you can just react without thinking and tell people to go fuck themselves, which I'm sure will win many reasonable people over to your argument.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
No, it's not, and that's an awful thing to say.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
We will have to disagree.

But could you tell me why you feel the need to defend people like rogan?

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think that he is a rapist because, he is not a rapist

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
nayrt

an unfortunate truth is that some people these days automatically equate simply being male with also being rapists, whether or not they have raped

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
lol yeah okay that doesn't happen.
People are calling Bill Cosby a rapist because over 13 women have come forward in the past year and are finally telling everyone about their sexual assaults.

It's not because he has a penis.
Go back to your mra cave.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
NAYRT but I'm fairly sure that AYRT was referring to Seth Rogen, not Bill Cosby, who is absolutely a rapist

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
ding ding ding, we have someone who can follow a conversation!

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
Go back to your rad fem cave and learn reading comprehension.

I didn't say shit about Cosby, I was talking about people viewing men in general.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
LOL I think rad fems are more willing to live in a commune. But thanks for playing.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Then get to it, already! The sooner you make like The Village, the better off the rest of us will be.

Bullshit

some people equate being a willing participant in the patriarchy who creates and contributes as heavily to rape culture as this fat sack of shit does as being responsible to some degree for rape

Feminism, ladies and gentlemen.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
A specific crazy feminist, who is clearly wrong, you mean

As A Feminist I Disagree With Those Statements

I do not endorse them

This has been a message from A Feminist

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
You do know that was a super obvious troll and not an actual femanist...right.
:T

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
It's hard to tell the difference. I've seen far worse on feminist blogs on Tumblr.

No, an unfortunate truth is that a lot of over-defensive males and their apologists claim this, when they just don't want to face how pervasive rape is and how they could stand up against the culture but don't care enough to.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
being a participant in rape culture does not mean someone is a rapist. it's a systematic thing.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
No, no, you've got it wrong: Seth Rogen's face is the worst thing to happen to women.
