The vast majority of "Gay Clubs" haven't been strictly for homosexual people since the 90's really. Hell, some of my hetero friends like to go to queer night spots just because they like the music better, so you never know.

They're not strictly homosexual, no, but it still doesn't feel like ideal place to pick up girls, especially when in my case there are straight dance clubs literally right next door. And the straight girls I know who like to go to gay bars like knowing they can dance and be less pestered by guys, generally.

Sure, usually not ideal, but if it's worked for them in the past then I could see someone doing it again. I mean, hell, some "gay" clubs in my city are really not even gay clubs anymore by virtue of just about anyone turning up.

I'm not saying it's the smoothest move in the world, but those people might just be under the impression that it's one of those types of places?
