Re: What's a TV show, book, or movie that you knew you SHOULDN'T like, but you did?

Do video games count?

In which case, Legacy of Kain. Totally a sausagefest if not a touch misogynist in hindsight (it's not kind at all to its super small female cast, that much I will say. At least Ariel got a somewhat bittersweet*good end in 'Defiance', given her brutal murder in 'Blood Omen' set off the chain of events that started the series' story) and it's really convoluted and has massive continuity lockout from 'Soul Reaver' onward, but the series in general has a strong sentimental value to me. It just hit all the right spots for me at the time (and I was going through some really bad shit then, so Raziel's journey was like catharsis for me).

Mortal Kombat X, for sure. I'm not sure why I got into it, considering it's ultra violent to the nines and back, but something about the MK lore appeals to me. Also, Sub-Zero's stupidly hot in this game, ughhhhh. And Ermac's pretty awesome, too.
