There's a decent amount of dedicated T.E. nerds on tumblr. The most popular tag is T.E. Lawrence, with mostly just movie stuff in the Lawrence of Arabia tag.

I should send this to my mother, she is hugely knowledgeable about T.E. Lawrence. Basically an auto-didact.

Oh nooooo I don't need another black-hole-of-history-nerding fandom, I don't, I don't, I don't...

I haven't even seen the movie! But based on everything I've heard about it, and the bits and pieces of Seven Pillars I've read, if/when I do I'll be a goner. As far as characters and historical figures go, I have a type, and Lawrence is it with bells on. Finding out that the fandom is both friendly and full of deeply nerdy amateur scholars means that now it's just a matter of time until I give in to temptation and fling myself into the abyss.
