Anyway, if you're looking for LPer's who don't use that kind of humor, then you might want to check out AgentJr! It's been a while since I've watched his LPS but I'm pretty sure he doesn't make rape jokes.

Gopher. He's my favorite and doesn't make rape jokes and when streaming doesn't like his viewers making sexist or derogatory remarks about women. When confronted with a character who's a rapist and/or sexist he takes issue with it.

Probably helps that he's not an idiot teen/20something but a guy in his 40s, loves his gf and third kids, and of course gaming.

Totally agree with the comment above. I think you also have to consider which games you're watching let's plays for. Someone playing an older more involved game (Dwarf Fortress, Baldur's Gate) or a plot heavy RPG (Like some of SorcererDave's role playing stuff) is a lot less likely to make gross sexist comments than someone who plays Grand Theft Auto. I'm not saying everyone who plays GTA is like that, it just takes a lot more effort to sift through the crap to find something you'll like.

I can understand it, in the moment it might sound good and ironic but given some thought or outside pov it's wrong. I might make a joke like that myself if I'm really into something but if I hear someone else say it it makes me uncomfortable.

Look up ScykohPlays! He's a real sweetheart who never says anything worse than a "gosh dang" and his voice is like warm butter on toast.

Look up Supergreatfriend. I've never seen him pull that sort of bullshit and he's made it pretty obvious that he doesn't have any respect for the people that do.

I don't think I've heard that kind of behavior from Markiplier, Cryoatic, ManlyBadasshero or ChristopherOdd. The last three have really calming voices and don't scream a lot, which is a common complaint about LPers.

I love LP videos because I find them so relaxing to watch at the end of the day or just for some background noise. However, I agree with you OP. There is an overabundance of casual misogyny and it just makes me feel uncomfortable. I normally have a high tolerance for offensive humor and I can understand the occasional slip up, but that kind of stuff is not even funny and just comes off as ignorant. Though I don't think it's as accepted as you think. Years ago it was much more abundant but now a lot of LP'ers catch a lot of backlash if they cross certain lines.

I remember watching some of Cryaotic let's plays and he's great!
He seemed like a very chill and respectful guy from the videos I watched. Definitely a breath of fresh air from the sea of LP'ers that are constantly screaming and throwing around casual misogynistic remarks.

Like, Best Friends Play is my favorite, and their Catherine playthrough is very funny but also chock-full of this kind of shit :/
(Although they seem to have been getting better, I think after getting some fan messages about it and such)
