Re: Suggest a Colin Firth film?

I need to go back and see his old things. He was so delicious in P&P.
I will love him forever but damn.

He was great in P&P and he's perfect for that sort of role but I personally find him more attractive now.

Oh, if you had told my younger self that I would've been confused, but here I am thinking it...

Still, he is def Mr. Darcy for me and I've been thinking I should watch it again. I remember swooning the first time I saw it.

He is weirdly handsome now, whereas before I thought he was a little bit dorky looking but still cute. Someone tried to tell me he was ageing badly, but nope. He is ageing like a fine wine.

I haven't seen Kingsman yet. I think I'll rent it for tonight, even though it's like $7 to rent. I can buy it for $20.

Badly in what universe?! NOT THIS ONE.

Okay, so, different tastes and all that, but seriously, it's like he became three times hotter once he started to get wrinkles. I think you're right in that he was a bit...young and fresh and dorky but cute, but then he aged and started to look all refined and shit and good lord.

Yeaaaaaaaa.

I only recently saw Kingsman myself! $7 is way too much to rent a film though, jeez. I managed to get the Blu-Ray on sale for around $14 so I did that...I've watched it almost three times. Not only does Colin look great but the action in the film is downright insane and he is a total BAMF. I read he did around 80% of his stunts which is pretty damn impressive considering the complexity of said stunts.

Ugh, that one scene...

You should def watch it, if even for that one scene. (That I will say no more about.)

I think these are the same types of people who are freaking out over Depp no longer looking 20. I'm actually happy when I start seeing wrinkles on people because it means they're not full of botox and headed into dangerous plasticy fish lip territory.

Oooh. Yeah the trailer looks fun.
You tease!

and headed into dangerous plasticy fish lip territory

Oh god, that is the worst. Not that I don't understand the pressure people in Hollywood must feel to look young and beautiful, but so often botox and plastic surgery makes people look worse then when they started. It's sad because a lot of people age quite gracefully, but many celebs first instinct is to freak about it and alter their appearance (sometimes permanently).

I don't want to be a tease, just don't want to spoil anything! I hope you enjoy it when/if you get around to it.

I have it today and I'm going to watch it when I can be bothered to get up and get snacks!

There are probably a lot of celebs who have had work done that I wouldn't guess have had work done, and good on them for not fucking up their faces? Idk. You won't ever catch me sticking filler in anything. Yikes.

Yes, good. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. (That was quick, btw.)

True, and it's their right to do so; I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with it... But there's so many ways it can turn into a disaster. I would be too nervous to go through with it.
