Yeah, it's creepy. I personally have a kink for age-difference. I think because he's an otherworldly being and it's kind of her story that it's easy to overlook the creepiness for me. I do get a little skeeved out thinking of the actors playing the parts though.

I'm really torn about what kind of sequel I want. OTOH I liked the romance so it would be great to see grown-up Sarah who is now on equal footing with Jareth, and see what happens to their relationship from there. And, with the new technology, I think you could really push the look of the labyrinth into something nightmarish or really cool. Make a mature, dark version.

But OTOH that's a recipe to lose the charm of the original. If you were trying to capture that (and I'm not sure anyone could succeed with Jim H not being around anymore), then it should be Toby or some other kid ending up in the labyrinth (maybe for a different reason from the first time) and going up against Jareth. Similar but different. I'm not sure which way to go.
