The idea that you were kidnapped is obviously more extraordinary than the others, so only a great fool would use it as a lie; therefore, since you are not a great fool, it must be the truth. But on the other hand, you (knowing that I am not a great fool) would have expected me to figure this out, and so would have made it exceptionally shocking on purpose, and therefore it must be a lie. But perhaps you knew that I would think that...

It wasn't really terrifying at the time. I was eight and while I knew my mother was off her rocker, I still trusted her enough not to do anything too crazy. Dad didn't though.

Ahaaa, my brain initially went to stranger-kidnapping and wondering how you got away(not that someone being kidnapped by their mum would be less dangerous), but you were alright which is the important thing.

I was eight and Mom went off her meds and took me to another city without telling Daddy. Given that the woman was fucking batshit at the time, he called the cops and all our family. So yeah, I was kidnapped by my mom.

It's fresh in my mind because she's been acting crazy again recently.
