Yes!

The thing I find most interesting about it is it was written right after WWI, then 20 years later, WWII happened pretty much exactly as metaphorically predicted

I remember discussing it in class, and that came up. Also, the idea of Ireland's revival was important to the teacher. I remember being kind of disturbed by the last two lines...they seem sort of ominous.

It'd be neat if he'd guessed at the general idea of mutually assured destruction / humans having the power to literally armageddon themselves. That definitely birthed an era / new mode of war, anyway.
