Same. When I submit secrets I check like...five times to make sure I'm submitting the right thing, lmao. Do the same thing with comments most the time, too.

I once accidentally linked a friend to porn (it was a gif on tumblr, and I was sure I was pasting a different image), but other than that...haven't had many embarrassing mistakes.

I do the same thing (well...not so much with secrets, as I haven't submitted one in a very long time, but definitely with comments!).

I've always got a ton of tabs open, and I've got a number of email conversations going, and I'm incredibly paranoid about accidentally sending fanfic to an RL friend instead of to my RP partner, or sending out-of-context smut to someone completely unannounced, or copying and pasting the wrong link... So far none of that has happened, but dammit, it could, lol.

I absolutely feel you; I always have open at least eight tabs, usually per group. (Sometimes I'll have up to six groups.)

It's easier than you would think... all you have to do is be a tad absentminded, lol.

So double-checking is important.

Maybe it won't happen to you! You've been lucky so far, apparently.

I accidentally sent a private vent to my mother's boyfriend over text by complete accident today. :( (Still have no idea how that happened.)

Luckily we were going there for dinner and he said he hadn't read the texts by the time we arrived, and I asked for them to be deleted, but lord it feels AWFUL and I'm paranoid they didn't actually follow through. No way to check without stealing his phone, sadly.

Now I'm going to be extra paranoid when I text people. I've never accidentally texted the wrong person before. I blame my phone for malfunctioning somehow.

Oh, anon. :( That's pretty unfortunate, but as long as the vent wasn't about him or your mom it probably won't be too awkward? (If it was...god bless you, but honestly everyone does silly things sometimes and it's really easy to make mistakes. Plus, even if you love someone that doesn't mean you're never going to have issues, you know?)

Maybe it was some weird butt text or something. I've accidentally called people that way, and I think on at least one occasion I sent a text to the wrong person. Thankfully it wasn't anything super embarrassing, but it was still shameful for me, lol.

There's not much to do about him having them though...so I hope he deleted them. There wouldn't be much reason to keep them anyway, so I don't see why he would! (And unless he's a massive dick I doubt he would show them to anyone.)

Electronics can fuck up sometimes...I've had it happen before, and I've heard stories. Not sure what happened in your case, but maybe double-check next time? That's all you can do, really.
