Or did fandom, or LJ fandom at least, go through a musical phase between, say, 2004 and 2007?

It just seems to me everyone on LJ loved musicals and Broadway. But that might also just be because RENT and Wicked were so huge. Or I had a different flist.

You probably had a different flist.

Then again, RENT was released as a movie during those years, wasn't it? I was the only one of my friends talking about the musical (and others) in the late 90s but I don't recall the surge in LJ discussion in 2004.
