PoI you say? Unfortunately I lost some of my bookmarks (THIS IS TURNING INTO A VERY BAD HABIT OF MINE), but here are some of my favs that I was able to find again:

God's Gonna Cut You Down - Basically perfect. 1:00-1:16 actually sent shivers down my spine the first time I watched it.

Big Spender - Reese/Finch, technically a hooker!AU, but let's be honest, isn't the show itself kind of a hooker!AU when you look at it the right way? All the nice things Finch buys John in return for him putting down bad guys.

Embers - One of these vids I had to watch a couple of times to really appreciate them. I was expecting a different song, that put me off for a surprisingly long time, lol.

Einstein on the Beach - Fantastic Finch character vid. Vidder summed it up as "Humpty Dumpty had a great fall." Which is a great summation of Finch, from his excitement and eagerness of coming up with and building the machine to where he is on the show, after having witnessed the terrible things that happened because of it. Absolutely love it.

Honorary mention:
When I Ruled the World - Also a vid by astolat, so probably very good. But that song is forever associated with a different vid in my mind (where it's a perfect fit), and having it used in other vids feels somehow wrong.

The Story of Your Life - Not as good as the other ones IMO but I like it. It's very uplifting. Also, s1 OT4.

I'll be watching you - Choirs are goddamn creepy. Honestly, I think this should be a Machine POV fic, but then I might not actually be able to sleep at night (seriously. Choirs. SO CREEPY), so maybe it's all for the best.

Let me know if you're looking for something specific, I'll probably go binge-watching PoI vids now so who knows, I might just stumble across something you're searching for. I just can't help with Root/Shaw vids yet, because I haven't finished the last season and from what I've heard so far there's a lot of Root/Shaw stuff going on. So I'll be steering clear of the pairing for now to avoid spoilers. :/

Holy shit, these are extremely good! The 'God's Gonna Cut You Down' one IS perfect. Excellent timing and clip selection, and obviously a wonderful song choice. 'Big Spender' is both hilarious, oddly fitting and strangely adorable. It works better than it should.

Embers is an odd one, but it's unique and kind of fascinating. The use of repetition is clever considering the content.

Ooo, the Harold one was fantastic. Sad but also kind of uplifting at the end...nice exploration of who Harold is as a person!

I had seen When I Ruled the World before, but was glad to watch it again! I totally forgot that astolat made that vid (or ANY vids, I remember her great fic, but not the vid making), but it is a beautiful, catchy one.

And you are right, choirs can be fucking creepy. Damn impressive and gorgeous, but creepy. And from the second I read the title I thought, "Wow, that would make a great fic" so you are not alone. Great vid, though! Very haunting music, good concept.

I will probably look for some Root/Shaw in the next week or so...I love those two and have no doubt when you catch up you'll be pleased on that front!
