I pity everyone who identifies as those.

I'm willing to spend one sentence on discussing this to say "I don't care"

Some of these are so unnecessary. Like that last one, just admit you have erophobia, quit trying to make it an identity issue.

Why do you care? Let people decide for themselves what their sexuality is. What is this need to judge the labels other people choose for themselves? It isn't hurting you in any way.

Demi: Unlike those other sluts, I have to get ti KNOW someone before I fuck them.
Fray: I have commitment issues but like fucking.
Cupio: I like masturbating
Grey: I am just like everyone else. I don't just sleep with anyone
Litho: Afraid of commitment and relationships
Autochoris: I am 16 and use celebrities as a ruler for real life people. So when they don't measure up to my fanatasies, it must be a new sexuality!
Placio: .....rapist???
Abro: My sex drive changes depending on my mood/health/hormones. Just like most people.
Apothi: Asexual.

Yeah, see, all of these are just what we used to call having a type, or a style, or a personality. One person's always fantasizing about their ideal, another brings a U-Haul on a second date, another one's chasing any tail that moves. Those are all fine. None of them need a fucking flag.

I'm legit crying from laughter. It's like someone tried So. Hard. to make these things sound official and totally real u guis!!!11! that they just went right back to obviously bullshit again.

That said, I'm betting that if that isn't a troll image in the first place, most of these terms where coined by trolls to see who fell for it.

Under most circumstances, I just smile and nod.

Well I mean, most of these are real feelings people experience, this is true? I know I am totally "fraysexual" by habit. I don't think they need to be part of your sexual identity, but whatever.

Re: Inspired by "pansexual" thread

(Anonymous) 2015-07-10 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. Trying to claim erophobia as a sexual identity isn't any different from claiming pedophilia is a sexual identity and thanks to ill_omened we already have enough of the latter as it is.

Lol. I'm just trying to imagine the kid that actually coined these terms. These identities are just so, so useless and non-functional, except you know, actually being asexual.

No one gives a shit about this in real life. It's not like you walk up to your coworkers and introduce yourself solely based on your super special awesome labels like you do on Tumblr.

I knew one of those words (demisexual).
I'm familiar with another as "gray-ace."
I've heard of lithosexual, maybe?
A friend pretty much is fraysexual.
I've run across the other here and there, I suppose, just not with those names.

I think those are reasonable psychology/character concepts.

Are they "orientations" in a politically charged sense? Not as much as lez/gay/bi, no.

autochorissexual describes me pretty well, but I wouldn't use it as a label to describe myself. I think I'll just stick with "celibate"
