Gamers are damaged manchildren and their way of life simply cant last. Best way to speed things along is to protest violent and sexist games. games companies won't stop until this starts hurting them

What's wrong with violent video games?

(Anonymous) 2015-07-11 10:54 am (UTC)(link)
Is someone in 2015 really asking this?

(Anonymous) 2015-07-11 12:08 pm (UTC)(link)
DA

Of course there is, because the notion that violent video games are harmful is bullshit. The only people who can't discern a difference between video game violence and real violence are the people who don't play them.

Video game violence very clearly desensitizes people. There's no link to it causing violence, though. And lots of things desensitize people... the news, action movies. It's hard to say just what desensitization leads to. I wouldn't say video game violence has NO effects... just that the effects are not so clear cut.

As long as the people protesting are little whiny crybabies who wouldn't play a video game even if it catered to their every whim, I'm pretty sure those game companies won't really care all that much.

And it's not going to hurt them because landwhales like you aren't their target audience.
