Replying to a comment in a troll thread, but... is it really the status quo? From my understanding, demisexuality means that somebody can only feel sexually attracted upon forming a deep bond with another person. Which means no: seeing a hot person and wanting to bang them, or even just thinking 'this person is sexually attractive and I would be interested if the situation arose', no hook ups, no getting off to the thought of somebody they don't know, etc... which seems pretty abnormal to me. Sure, society encourages the opposite of these actions, but I could imagine how a completely 'liberated' person in all other regards might still be demi.
