(Anonymous) 2015-07-11 05:04 am (UTC)(link)"Practice makes perfect" was certainly coined for situations like this. *grin* My partner was a debater in school, so he has a lot of practice with setting aside being a basically nice guy in order to hector someone in a controlled setting. (I used to wonder why I always ended up dating debaters, and only lately realized how much I've always kinked on uber-competent verbal domming, hehe).
