About the only thing appealing to me about this is Jeremy Irons' voice. I love the idea of him as Alfred. But everything else: No. Still not sold on Gadot at all. Hate the Batman vs. Superman angle. They've still got the Superman character completely and totally wrong. And it is just way too dark and grim.

Gal Godot supports bombing children's hospitals in conflicts because it is easier than not bombing them. That is all you need to know about why you shouldn't be watching Gal Godot movies.

I agree with you that she does support very immoral things, though that doesn't necessarily mean I wouldn't watch something she's in. I'm not entirely sure where the line is for me, but most of the time I will watch things with actors whose views are immoral. There are some times I won't. I'm just not sure yet entirely where the line is. And Scarlett Johannsen is very pro-Israel too. Gadot actually was in the Israeli military, so that might be different for me, but I'm not entirely sure what she actually participated in.

Yeah I still watch old tom cruise movies and Mel Gibson movies, like that other anon somewhere up there said. Some are just really good movies and those actors can just pull it off.

Sorry, but I am NOT HERE for Jeremy Irons. In anything. Ever.

I mean, I'm usually able to divorce the author/actor from their work, but Jeremy Irons is one creepy bastard, and I can't watch anything he's in without looking at his face and thinking "This man is probably a pedophile."

Man, I wish I could bring you the old comment thread on this.

Basically on F!S a while back there was a big discussion about Jeremy Irons re: pedophilia/ephebophilia and someone brought us some receipts with comments Irons had made.

Stuff along the lines of "Well when kids get to that age of COURSE you're going to be sexually attracted to them b/c it's totally natural for a father to want to bang his kids" and stuff about how he thought his son was hot. And some other stuff, which all added up to a skeevy, awful picture.

And now all I can think about when I see Jeremy Irons in anything is those comments he made. Ughhhhh.

It's weird, because a lot of people seem to have problems with things the actor says and then don't like their stuff, but most of the time I find it easy to separate the actor from the role.

Which, frankly, I'm glad about, because otherwise my viewing roster would be much smaller.

The Superman vs. Batman thing is tricky to do without established characters from solid movies. Heck it's just tricky in of itself to portray successfully. The Superman movie was terrible and confusing. I have no faith in this company to make any good representations of their characters, which really sucks because I grew up with their stories more than I did with marvel. Well aside from X-men, that is. I really want this concept to work, but honestly I feel more confident that the movies they make will keep falling flat on their face as Marvel continues to rake in the dough.
