The train is good as well. That is what I have used when I go up to NYC. Keep in mind that if you buy the tickets well ahead and travel on off peak days it can be far cheaper...

Yeah, coach tickets are only about $52 right now. It says we can bring 2 bags of carry on luggage (50 lbs). Are there overhead bins or storage?
