Re: BATSUPE TRAILER

What Dethtoll is trying to say is that the company known as DC Comics doesn't make the films. Warner Brothers produces the films based on DC characters with very minimal involvement from the company itself. They are responsible for the dark tone and should receive the criticisms for that, not DC Comics. Meanwhile, Marvel Studios is and always has been a subsidiary of Marvel, so they basically make the films directly.

You said "DC" in your original post, as if you were pinning the darkness of the films on DC the company. Said darkness is not their fault. Saying "they're DC to me" is ignoring that.

There are several Marvel movies not in part of Marvel movies. X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spiderman. I still consider them to be "Marvel".

And I'm not even saying the dark tone is bad. But, even if DC still has little input on the WB films (I expect they have some), their logo is still at the beginning of every movie. Thus, for me DC=WB movies.

If only Marvel movies I ever saw was Spiderman and X-Men, I'd base my knowledge of Marvel off of that. As it is, I base my view of Marvel on the movies they produce as well.
