Spock is half human so it would make sense that he have outburst like that. That was the reason they gave within the movie several times as well.
I kinda like the idea he shows traits from both sides of the family.

Man, I love being able to able to enjoy both old and new Star Trek without getting frustrated at everything. More people should just relax about it.
