Of course not. I don't think I've ever seen a single person comment about "I want to share a pic but I'm afraid people will only think I'm doing it for the praise." and I see all sorts of stuff on encouraging people to leave nice comments and not just likes on art.

I'm not really sure where the divide started. Maybe since fan art's been done openly for years and years and fanfic is still seem as shameful?
