38. I totally agree with you... I can definitely sympathize with their dilemma... and it's an intriguing parallel. So many homosexuals have to masquerade as someone they're not to please lovers/friends/family members. I almost find it to be callous of Karolina to insist that Xavin make a change like that. Being a lesbian, I'm sure that she had to deal with discrimination and a struggle with her identity at least once in the past.

I've seen this issue discussed a lot in scans_daily, and it really does seem that he defaults to the male gender. When he transforms into "human" he often goes male before heading for female. Also, comments he's made in the past along the lines of "I don't know who I am" lead me to believe that genderswapping really is difficult for him at times.

They're both great characters and I think they'll definitely mature during this relationship; but I don't see it lasting! Karolina and Nico are definitely my OTP XD Though I love Victor, I just don't see him and Nico working out either...
