This. Pandering =/= queerbaiting. I think the vast majority of "queerbaiting" examples people cite are actually pandering, and tv shows/whatever have always pandered to their fan base. It gets annoying when it becomes super blatant, sure, but it's not inherently wrong or anything. I think the term queerbaiting only truly applies in some rare cases
