Sigh. And criminalisation has been shown NOT TO WORK. Treat it as a health issue, because at least then harm minimisation comes into effect. You know, like alcohol or cigarettes or sugar or whatever. People don't have to hide so much.

Well, legalizing (some) drugs may help against drug related crime, but it may not help that much in any other respect.

so because you think it doesn't work, they should just shrug their shoulders and make dangerous drugs legal? i don't think so.

the fact that drugs are illegal is a deterrent to many people who might otherwise try them. i'd call that working.
