i love zero too but i can't believe people call it feminist? it's better than sn in terms of sexism but i still find it pretty sexist.

and even though i think sn has better female characters, the way they're treated by the narrative and shirou is what makes it sexist.

Do you honestly believe that characters like Rin's mom, Maiya, Iri, Sola-Ui or Kiritsugu's childhood friend are treated better than Rin, Illya, Rider or Taiga?

honestly my problem with sn is that the female characters are really great but are constantly bogged down by gross sexist things (and a lot of it does come from the fact it is an eroge).

like rin is kidnapped and almost raped by shinji. illya is sexualized for the lolicon fanbase. rider in hollow has a complex about being tall and not being cute like her sisters (and worries about not being attractive to men despite being medusa???) even taiga worries about being a christmas cake and shirou makes comments like "you're never gonna get a man that way"

also i guess because of the sheer length of sn and more female characters there are more sexist things thrown in there. it doesn't help that it's from shirou's pov and he says some really head shaking things about women.

like i'm not gonna deny that zero treats women badly and violently and i do agree with the op's statement.
