So I keep seeing stuff about this "Steven Universe" thing, so I Googled it. And then went to the creator's Wikipedia page.

So she's 28, only a few years older than me (and I've accomplished nothing...), but she's also from my town, and went to my school!

I found my old 9th grade yearbook, and sure enough, a few years ahead of me, was Rebecca Sugar. Fairly ordinary looking, I would have never guessed that one day I'd be seeing stuff created by her all over the place.

I've always hoped somebody from my school made it/makes it into the big times of some field or another, so I could brag about at least going to the same school as them, haha.

Young wunderkinds aren't who you should be measuring yourself by.

Do you have any idea how many people don't make it until their thirties or after? People publishing their first book in their fifties?

Yeah, but she has probably worked her butt off to get the show on air.

Meanwhile, we are just sitting here being lazy. I have tons of ideas but to actually work on them....that's another story.
