Emmy Noms came out today. (http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/16/entertainment/emmy-nominations-2015-list-feat/)

First of all, the fact that The Americans barely made a blip (Margo Martindale, natch for her two minutes of screen time, and a writing nom) IS A TRAVESTY. There's no excuse whatsoever. Keri and Mathew's faces during the necklacing scene alone were enough to get Emmy's, not to mention the rest of their work this last incredible season. Not to mention the other actors, writers, production staff and directors. What the actual fuck.

On a lighter note, I'm amused that Mayim Bialik and Christine Baranski were the only noms for The Big Bang Theery. Don't know why that amuses me, but it does.

I'm amazed that the Dragon queen was found worthy of a nomination. Just how?

They really need categories other than comedy or drama.

VV happy Bob Odenkirk got a nom for best actor for Better Call Saul <333

Same here. Although I was hoping for a nod to Michael McKean as well but Jonathan Banks definitely deserves the nom.

I just hope Anna Chlumsky wins one this year!

I thought she was amazing on Veep this season, especially (without spoiling anything) her final scene in episode 5, which was Emmy worthy on its own.

Jesus, who does Hannibal have to eat to get any respect around here?

It wasn't actually eligible for the Emmy's this year. I think it aired outside their timeframe.

Himself, because that show is crap as far as I'm concerned.

I know they nominated Emilia Clarke to draw in viewers, but just... why. Saying this as somebody who enjoys her as a person and enjoys the character of Daenarys but her acting is really damn bad - saying this as somebody who normally doesn't notice bad acting unless it's nearing atrocious levels.

Nah. Her acting is fine. It's the material that makes the final product... like it is. Trust me, you don't want the book character to be on the show.

Emilia Clarke was dealt a shitty hand and is making the best of it.

Pretty pissed off the crackers didn't nominated anyone but Henson as Cookie for Empire and that they snubbed it in the Drama category.

Christine Baranksi is the wonderful Dianne from The Good Wife
