I agree I honestly find this ridiculous. Like it's one thing if one person sees a character or pairing as that, but they've not right to demand that other people accept and admit they are right.

"You have to admit this character is abusive and-" No. No I do not. You are free to think this. but the rest of us are under no moral obligation to agree with you.

I assume that most of the people who say this kind of thing are just teenagers or immature.

Ugh I know.
Every person I know who always goes on and on about how "abusive!!" Pearl and/or Garnet
are makes me wanna bang my head against a wall. They're totally trivializing abuse, and as an actual abuse victim myself, I find it pretty gross. Of course whenever I point this out, I either get ignored or yelled at. -__-
And don't even get me started on how obnoxious the super anti lapis/jasper groups are.
I've had people who made separate lapis/Jasper blogs just so they could draw fanart of the pairing and wouldn't have to bother anybody who didn't see it, and they still had to shut their blogs down because of all the hate.

That's pretty much my only real complaint I have with the SU fandom, but it's still a big one.

I usually visit the profiles of everyone who tries to shame people and throw around the words 'problematic' and 'abusive', and they always list their ages somewhere between 13-17. I don't know if they are being honest about their age, but it would make sense that it's a bunch of teenagers that don't know what the hell they are talking about.
